Each week throughout the next few weeks, I'm going to pick a city to highlight for the holiday season. This week is Frankenmuth, Michigan.
If you are a Christmas person (like I am) then you are always looking for places to go to during the Christmas holiday season. As I was researching places, I came across a city in Michigan called Frankenmuth.
I believe the main reason that Frankenmuth is so popular at Christmas is that they have the world's biggest Christmas store called Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. It covers 7 acres....7 ACRES. Can you imagine?
The things you can do in Frankenmuth can vary if you are going to have children with you or not. Let's say that you bring the whole family this time.
If you are looking for a place to stay for the kids to have fun, the Bavarian Inn has 4 indoor pools, and 2 water slides or Zehnder’s Splash Village which has multiple slides and a lazy river.
Also, for the little ones, make plans to go to Santas Reindeer Farm. Be prepared, reservations were recommended.
Let's talk about food now. If you love fried chicken apparently there are two places that you can eat at. The Bavarian Inn and Zehnders. From my research the funny thing is that both places offer the same meal and are right across the street from one another. The dinner comes with mashed potatoes and a baked bread along with one more side. At either places you may have a wait to be seated and served. This might be a good thing at Zehnders though. This way you can visit the marketplace and bakeries throughout.
If you are looking for dessert after dinner, then you can try a place called Sugarhigh Bakery. They offer cupcakes, cookies, and cakes. Apparently, they were made famous when they won on the show Cupcake Wars that was broadcasted on The Food Network.
After dinner and dessert, if you are up for some ice skating there is a rink available at
Zehnder Park. It’s centrally located in Frankenmuth, offering a convenient place to enjoy skating outdoors.
These few places are just a small idea of what you can do in Frankenmuth Michigan. The city sounds like a place to make many Christmas memories and satisfy your love of Christmas.
